1/2 pound butter
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup white Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
4 Hershey bars or milk chocolate chips
combine all ingredients(except Hershey bars) in a heavy saucepan. Cook at medium heat until mixture turns brown in color. Spread quickly on cookie sheet and put chocolate bars on top...Spread until candy is coated. Cool and break into pieces with handle of a knife.

Soft and Chewy Lemon Cookie
Ingredients
* 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup butter, softened
* 1 1/2 cups white sugar
* 1 egg
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract (depending on how lemony you want them to be!)
* 1 tablespoon dried lemon peel
* 1/2 cup sugar for rolling cookies
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
3. Using a mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until smooth and very fluffy.
4. Beat in egg, vanilla extract, lemon extract and lemon peel.
5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and roll in sugar. Place on lined cookie sheets about 1 1/2 inches apart.
7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned.
8. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

Cookies Brown bread
1 15oz box of raisins
2 1/2 cups water (hot)
cover and soak briefly
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup margarine
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
5 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Cream margarine and sugar till light, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla. Mix together flour,salt,and soda. Add alternately with raisins,water. Mix to which has been added the molasses.
Grease or spray 4 cans (the size of spaghetti sauce cans) and fill about 2/3 full.
Bake 350 for 1 hour. Leave in cans on their side for 5 minutes. Remove from can to wire racks and cool completely.Best when warm. May be frozen.

Pumpkin Bars
cream together
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
blend in 2 cups pumpkin
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups flour
pour in a 13x9 pan and bake 350* 25-30 minutes
Frosting
3 oz. cream cheese
3/4 stick butter
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp milk
beat til creamy and frost cooled cake.
You can double the frosting if you want it extra thick

Microwave chocolate gooey cake
4 T. flour
4 T. sugar
2 T. coco powder
1 egg
3 T.milk
3 T oil
splash vanilla
3 T. chocolate chips
mix the first 3 ingredients
Add everything else but chips /do not over mix, then add the chocolate chips
Cook in microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. It will be gooey.

Chicken Curry Salad
Dressing
3/4 cup mayo
2 T. oil
2 tsp.curry powder
1 tsp.vinegar
Mix together and refrigerate overnight or a few hours
Preboil and chop 4-6 chicken breasts
1/2 cup chopped celery about 3 stalks
1/2 cup green pepper
3 green onions
1 1/2 cup cooked rice
1 can chow mein noodles
slivered almonds
Mix everything together

Fig Pizza
1 flat bread
fig spread
onion
spinach
gorganzola cheese
spread fig spread on top
layer fresh baby spinach on
add 1 carmelized onion
top with gorganzola cheese
Bake in oven at 375 until you get the desired crispness.
